Asphalt Paving Level 2 is being offered following the Level 1 class. Students are able to attend the Level 2 class without waiting for their grades to be posted on their Level 1 exams. Worst case scenario: successful completion of Level 2 and a failed level 1. The Level 2 certification will be in pending status until the student successfully completes Level 1.

A&SW purposely schedules all Level 2 classes immediately following the Level 1 classes for the benefit of our students. Some students find it beneficial to take the classes and exams subsequently, since they are already in class and the information is fresh. When recertification comes around, this is convenient to some students since both expiration dates will be within a couple days of each other.

The Asphalt Paving Level 2 class covers Project Administration, Surface Preparation, Hot Mix Asphalt Delivery, Placement and Compaction, Balancing Production Rates, and Field Testing and Inspection.
